Doeko becomes more sustainable

Working together towards a greener society

At Doeko, we believe the energy transition is important, and we also take responsibility ourselves. We continuously look at how we can make our own processes more sustainable. Solar panels have now been installed on the roof, lighting has been replaced with LED lamps and a heat exchanger has been installed that uses heat from the compressor to warm the production area.

The Doeko team is also looking at how we can use raw materials in a more circular way and reduce the amount of waste we produce. For example, we separate all chips from machining operations so they can be reused properly. Coolant emulsion is filtered and reused as well.

An important factor for us is minimising the amount of chips produced during machining. The fewer chips a product generates, the less material is considered waste. This is not only better for the environment, but also more efficient for the customer.

The machines we use at Doeko require a lot of energy, and unfortunately that is largely unavoidable. What we can do is make sure the machines are used as efficiently as possible and that we use compressed air carefully. Both measures help save significant amounts of electricity.
