Laser cutting and laser welding of high-tech components
Our approach
Precision in every cut
With laser cutting and laser welding, Doeko produces accurate metal parts and assembled components for high-tech applications. We combine laser cutting from coil with robotic handling and robotic laser welding in applications developed in-house.
Our laser applications have been fully developed in-house, from concept to implementation. Our laser technology makes it possible to produce thin sheet-metal parts and connections repeatably, both in smaller series and in larger production volumes.
We produce, among others:
- Laser-cut precision components
- Assembled welded components
- ShockShims
- Components for series production
Laser cutting
With our laser cutting application, we cut parts directly from coil in various metals, with high accuracy. This approach makes it possible to switch quickly between product variants while producing efficiently in larger quantities.
The installation is equipped with robotic product handling, allowing parts to be processed automatically within a continuous production process. This enables products to be produced stably and competitively in longer production runs.
A well-known example is the production of spring strip steel parts such as ShockShims and various valves, where dimensional accuracy and repeatability determine the performance of the final product. Read more about our shim production on the ShockShim page.

Laser welding
In addition to laser cutting, Doeko has developed its own universal laser welding cell. In this cell, parts are first positioned automatically and then welded under controlled conditions. This allows connections to be made accurately and repeatably, even with complex geometries or hard-to-reach weld positions.
This laser application was developed fully in-house, from idea to implementation. With robotic positioning, parts can be processed at different angles within one integrated setup. This makes laser welding suitable as a stable joining step in the production of components and modules.

Efficiency in laser processing
Laser as part of scalable production
Our laser applications were developed for series production of accurate sheet-metal parts and assembled components. By combining robotic handling with process setups developed in-house, parts can be produced efficiently and repeatably, even when multiple process steps are required within one product route.

Frequently asked questions
Practical questions and answers
Up to what material thickness can Doeko laser cut?
Doeko laser cuts thin metal parts from coil material. The current laser application is set up for material up to approximately 0.6 mm thick. This makes the process suitable for series production of thin precision parts, such as specialist shims and similar components.
Which materials can Doeko laser weld?
The suitable material for laser welding depends on the application, geometry, material thickness and required connection. Doeko assesses per product whether laser welding is technically suitable and how the process can be set up in a stable way. The focus is on repeatable connections in thin metal components.
Which brand are the laser cutting and laser welding machines?
Doeko’s laser cutting and laser welding applications were developed in-house. We use existing laser and robot technology, but the design of the application, product handling and integration into the production process were realised by Doeko itself.
