For more than half a century
A close team of specialists
Since 1964, Doeko has been developing solutions for producing technically complex products as a family-owned company. What started as a tooling workshop has grown into a production environment where components, modules and systems are produced in series.
Today, Doeko Hightech is the part of Doeko focused on precision mechanics, mechatronics and automated production of high-tech components and modules. Within this environment, engineering, machining, automation and assembly come together under one roof.
Our strength lies not only in producing parts, but in making products manufacturable.
How do we do this?
Craftsmanship as the basis for automation
At Doeko, our specialists understand how products behave during machining and assembly. This knowledge forms the basis for the way we automate our factory.
For us, automation does not replace craftsmanship. It strengthens it. By organising production processes intelligently, components and modules can be produced repeatably within stable tolerance stack-ups and controlled production flows.
This creates a production environment where quality keeps repeating itself.
From high-tech modules to quick-change moulds
One technical foundation. Multiple specialisations.
From the same technical foundation, Doeko has developed several specialised activities over the years. Each focuses on a specific application area, but they share the same core: making products manufacturable and scaling them up within a controlled production environment.
Doeko Hightech
Within Doeko Hightech, we develop and produce precision mechanical components, modules and systems for high-tech applications. Here, engineering, machining, automation and assembly come together within one integrated production environment.
ShockShim
Within ShockShim, we produce high-end shims for shock absorbers that are used worldwide in motorsport and high-performance damping systems. Thanks to our automated production, these parts can be supplied in a wide variety of versions. For ShockShim, we have a dedicated webshop where shims can be ordered directly.
Quick Change Mould
With Quick Change Mould, we develop and produce quick-change moulds for material testing according to international standards such as ISO, ASTM and UL94. These systems are used worldwide in testing and development environments where speed and standardisation are essential. For Quick Change Mould, we have a dedicated webshop where products can be ordered directly.
OX-ID
Our history
50 years ahead in production optimisation
Our development has never stood still. Over the years, we have continued to develop in technology, automation and precision production. The timeline below shows how Doeko has grown into a partner in smart manufacturing solutions.
2026
Further expansion of automated production
The further expansion of the factory marks the next step in the development of Doeko’s automated production environment. With the acquisition of two new 5-axis machining centers with integrated automation, the capacity for multiple machining routes is further increased. This enables complex high-tech components and modules to be produced even more efficiently and reproducibly within a stable production flow.
2025
Focus on high-tech module production
Doeko makes a strategic choice to focus further on the production of high-tech components, modules and systems. This shifts the focus from high-tech tooling to integrated production solutions in which engineering, automation and assembly come together within one production environment. This step strengthens Doeko’s role as a partner in making complex products manufacturable and scaling them up.
2024
Innovation in laser production
Doeko expands its production environment with automated laser applications that were fully developed in-house. This creates a new production technology within the factory, suitable for accurate series production from coil material and robot-assisted assembly and welding processes. This step makes it possible to produce new types of components repeatably and at scale, including specialist products such as ShockShims.
2019
Doeko develops automation concept
Under Bart’s leadership, Doeko develops its own automation concept, in which an AGV supplies machines with material. This year also marks a moment for celebration: Doeko turns 55 and organises the Doeko Event in October.
2018
Bart becomes co-owner
The further growth of Doeko continues under the joint leadership of father and son. With an eye to the future, Bart becomes co-owner from this year onwards.
2012
The third generation
The third generation enters the company. After his technical and business education, as well as work experience at Eindhoven University of Technology and ASML, son Bart van Doesburg joins the family business.
2011
Room for new machines
Doeko once again buys land from the neighbours behind the company. This time to expand the existing building and create space for new machines.
2010
Entrepreneur of the year
Shortly after the low point of the crisis, Gertjan quickly succeeds in putting his company back on the map. Because of this and other notable achievements, he is named Entrepreneur of the Year by the municipality of Beuningen.
2009
Reorganisation at Doeko
The financial crisis hits Doeko and a reorganisation becomes unavoidable. Several employees are let go and the sale of the Raimond Puts lamp is transferred to Moooi.
2008
Foundation of OX-ID
OX-ID is founded as a sister company specialised in the development and realisation of innovative concepts. The company participates in 100% Design and Architect@Work. A large piece of land is purchased from the neighbours behind the company, making expansion for this new activity possible.
2006
Design and technology
With a new Fanuc injection moulding machine, Doeko also positions itself in the plastics industry. The company takes on a special project: the development of a design lighting object based on a design by Raimond Puts.
2003
Smarter production
With the purchase of a Toyoda horizontal milling machine with pallet changer, manufacturing processes become faster and production can continue for longer. Another major step forward.
1999
Doeko 35 years
After two years of construction, the new company building is completed. Doeko is now 35 years old and receives its first major order from Philips Semiconductors.
1994
Building the future
The Van Doesburg family moves to Weurt, next to the company premises. Together with his team, Gertjan works hard to take the company another step forward.
1992
First international order
The first international order, from Brazil, becomes a reality. To secure payment, a Letter of Credit is issued. Gertjan buys additional land because Doeko is once again running out of space due to its success.
1990
From 2D to 3D
By programming with variables, Gertjan manages to design a 3D shape using 2D software. He was ahead of his time.
1989
Gertjan at the helm
J.A. van Doesburg receives the new rudder for the motorboat he is building and retires. He hands over the helm of Doeko to his son Gertjan, who takes over the entire share package in 1989.
1988
Doeko invests
Doeko invests in its first machining centre, a large milling machine with an automatic tool changer.
1983
Expansion and incorporation
An expansion of the building makes room for the new wire EDM machine that Gertjan will program and operate. Shortly afterwards, a warehouse is added. During the same period, Doeko produces its first moulds. Because of all these investments, father and son decide to incorporate Doeko as a private limited company, with both of them as shareholders.
1981
Gertjan starts at Doeko
Gertjan joins his father’s company as a technical employee. The slide rule had just become a thing of the past; fortunately, the electronic calculator had made its entrance. The first computer-controlled milling machine is also purchased, with the program stored on a cassette tape.
1964
The foundation of Doeko
On Weurt soil, the first generation Van Doesburg lays the foundation for Doeko, both literally and figuratively. Once the building is completed, the first sawing, drilling, milling, turning and grinding machines arrive. Van Doesburg starts by making moulds and later also progressive dies.
