Doeko has taken a new step in the use of laser technology within the factory. With laser applications developed in-house, we combine laser cutting, robotic product handling, robotic assembly and laser welding in controlled production processes.
The applications were fully developed in-house, from idea to implementation. This means laser technology fits the way Doeko works: not as separate machine capacity, but as part of a production approach in which accuracy, repeatability and scalability are central.
Laser cutting from coil
An important part of this development is laser cutting from coil material. Within this process, we cut thin metal parts up to 0.6 mm thick directly from coil. The products are then handled automatically by a robot.
This approach makes it possible to produce high volumes efficiently, with stable quality over longer production runs. Especially for thin metal parts, such as specialist shims, repeatability is important. By automating the process, we can combine accuracy with competitive series production.
Robotic assembly and laser welding
In addition to laser cutting, Doeko has also developed its own welding application. This setup makes it possible to first assemble parts and then weld them accurately under controlled conditions.
The robotic setup can position parts at different angles. This creates more freedom in the design of the connection and allows the welding process to be better aligned with the product. This makes laser welding suitable for applications where accuracy, repeatability and process control are important.
Developed in-house
The laser applications were not purchased as standard standalone solutions, but developed by Doeko itself. This is important because many products do not naturally fit into an existing production process.
By developing these applications ourselves, we can align automation, product handling and processing with the requirements of the product. This creates a production process that fits the application and is suitable for repeatable production in larger quantities.
With this step, Doeko further expands its set of technologies. Laser technology gives us additional possibilities to produce thin metal parts and assembled components in a controlled, accurate and scalable way.
