Where young people discover technology and innovation

Night of the Nerds on Tour, which took place on 25 November at De Vasim in Nijmegen, is the event where young people are introduced to technology in an inspiring way. In a world where technology and innovation play an increasingly important role, it is essential to let the next generation discover what is possible.

During this creative tech festival, secondary school pupils and vocational students were introduced to the many different sides of the sector.

Discover the world of precision technology

Doeko was also present at Night of the Nerds with its own stand. With the message “Push your limits… Can you make the difference in precision technology?”, visitors were challenged to push their boundaries and get to know the field.

A real eye-catcher was the Doeko Laser Challenge. In this interactive experience, participants discovered how small a micrometre (1 μm) actually is. By trying it themselves, they could see how many nanometres they were able to move. Was it comparable to a grain of salt, or even a human hair?

The Doeko team was happy to talk with visitors and show how precision plays a crucial role in modern technology.
