Design lighting from concept to series production

Doeko in the lighting industry

Technology that enables lighting solutions

In design lighting, it is not only about light, but also about form, structure and repeatability. Complex geometries, visible quality and dimensional accuracy determine whether a design is truly suitable for series production.

At Doeko, we combine our experience in precision mechanics with a strong affinity for design and light objects. We support the translation of an idea into the production of design lighting that must be produced repeatably. In doing so, the visual quality of the design is preserved, even when it is scaled up to series production.

From design object to repeatable series production

Our involvement in lighting began with the industrialisation of the Raimond lamp, a design by Raimond Puts. This project marked an important moment in the development of Doeko, because it was the first time automation was used to produce a complex geometric design repeatably at scale.

The Raimond lamp showed that design and precision engineering can strengthen one another when manufacturability is part of the process from the start.

Since then, we have supported designers and manufacturers in making lighting products manufacturable when structural accuracy and visual quality come together.

By combining machining, automation and assembly, light objects can scale in a controlled way from prototype to repeatable series production, without losing visual quality or dimensional accuracy.

The lighting industry

From design to manufacturable structure

Within the lighting sector, designs often sit at the intersection of technology and aesthetics. Products consist of slender structures, complex connections and visible parts where tolerances directly affect the final appearance.

This requires production environments where:

For many lighting products, the challenge is not the design itself, but translating that design into a structure that can be produced reliably and repeatably.

Through our experience with Design for Manufacturing and automated production, Doeko supports this transition from design to series production.

Precision as the basis for repeatable lighting structures

In lighting projects, we combine sensitivity to design with industrial manufacturability. This allows visually refined structures to be produced stably and repeatably within scalable production processes.

Can Doeko support the production of design lighting?

Yes. Doeko can support the production of design lighting and complex light objects. We combine precision mechanical production with experience in manufacturability, assembly and repeatable production. This allows designs to be translated into products suitable for series production.

Doeko makes a light object suitable for series production by looking early at structure, manufacturability, material, connections and assembly. The goal is to preserve visual quality while ensuring the product can be produced repeatably and at a controlled production cost.

Yes. Doeko has experience with complex lighting structures, including the industrialisation of the Raimond lamp. These projects require sensitivity to design, accurate production and a stable assembly process, so the design retains its visual quality during series production.
